Solid camera.
6 of 6 found this helpful I don't know how this camera is only $35. The casing for the camera itself as well as the mount are metal. Video can be switched to either standard definition or high definition in the picture is truly remarkable. Set up literally took me about two or three minutes to have this up and running (I had downloaded the app and created my account prior). You must be within 10 to 15 feet of your router in order for set up to work properly. Do not install the camera outside and then try and set it up. The night vision capabilities are exceptional and I have mine covering about a 60 or so linear foot distance with no problems. The motion detection can be sketchy at times, being overly sensitive to things like rain, snow, leaves and even headlights of all things. The app has recently been updated and has a lot of new features such as cropping where within the camera's view it will actually give you motion detection triggers. I have only been running this new version for a day or two and can't fully speak to its reliability. The only reason I am giving this four stars is the lack of an external reset button. I had initially subscribed to the cloud service and the only way to unsubscribe from that was to delete the camera from my account. Well, it deleted the camera from the app but it did not tell the camera to reset. I had to online chat with the company and received extensive instructions on how to do that through the computer with software they provided. It was eventually reset but I do caution that the process was not a simple one. I am ordering more to cover other areas of my home.
