Excellent value
Style: the TRBX / RBX line is not traditional looking. It has a fast neck, very comfortable. It looks good and is easy to play.
Tone: The 305 is brilliant. It has many options, but I tend to stick with the flat switch location and back off the bass to 12:00 and the treble to 2:00. It has so much variation in tone available but the sound is really amazing.
Even at full price, the bass is amazing. I've owned an Ibanez 405 and 200 and both are very playable, but I really think that Yamaha has a significant edge on Ibanez for basses.
