decent board with some flaws
1 of 1 found this helpful This is one of my favorite cheap stereo TPA 3116/3118 boards. It sounds great and volume pot does not add any noise, even at the dreaded ½ way position. Also, all 4 of the bootstrap capacitors are properly placed very close to the amp chip - rare on cheap Chinese boards - which is important for low distortion .
They also added some clever anti-pop circuitry that works at both turn on and turn offf, although , in the implementation they are missing an important shottky diode to protect the mute pins from excessive negative voltage. One of my boards got fried due to this after repeatedly turning it on and off. The best way to avoid this issue is to turn it on and simply leave it on for as long as you can. (just turn the volume pot down all the way to turn it "off").
Unlike some other boards that automatically switch between the aux and 1/8" audio inputs , this board bridges the 2 inputs together at all times ,which is very poor design and really hurts the functionality badly i'm certain use cases.. I really , really wish they had spent the extra half cent on a proper switched ⅛" input jack!!
All of these cheap 3116/18 boards have flaws. I just wish someone would get it right. Here's to hoping for a revised edition of this one !

Good 14650 lithium ion cells
These are good cells. They are indeed high drain capable, unlike the other red sanyo 14650’s I own. And the capacity tests almost as high as the sanyos.

Great diode
Used for BMS protection in series connected lithium ion battery pack build for e-boat. I cut it in half in the middle to get 2 diodes.
