One of the best
I really enjoyed The Crownies which introduced Janet King which was a kind of comedy, however the Janet King
series built well on this group and became a real drama. Acting is superb and the script writing should be a lesson to North American producers on how to make a really great TV series

Excellent Aussie show, nice to have a down to earth character driven show. Not like the slick sex driven USA productions.

Highly recommend the Beck series
Found the Beck series after watching the latest Nordic Noir DVD The Killing and Wallander series. The Beck series is worth watching from the beginning as much of the character building is done early. Found the story lines really well crafted and Beck's sidekick is really a great character. Although Beck is an early 90s Swedish TV series certainly better than anything on current North American TV. For all lovers of Nordic Noir looking for their nightly fix highly recommend the Beck series.
