The reliable low vision 20/20 pens that I know and love are back.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been legally blind since the age of 11 and this was one of the first accessible products introduced to me. After realizing how helpful these dark bold markers are to those of us whose low vision prevents us from using the average pen pencil or marker, I began suggesting them to others. I now have been using these markers for approximately 13 years and I have never had a problem with them. They quickly became one of my favorite learning tools, and I began to rely heavily on them as they often meant the difference between unclear,confusing visuals, and a well defined, recognizably distinct geometric figure or algebraic problem. I began using them in middle school and continue to use them now that I am in college to create and outline graphs, take notes, and write essays in a form that I can distinctly see, read, and understand. The bold lines created by this pen Helps visually impaired individuals, to once again see their own handwriting, and by doing so, improve their overall quality of reading and penmanship. I now use them in all facets of my life including making personal grocery lists and labeling products in my house. I even make sure that I always carry at least one in my purse at all times, so when I realized that these Sanford pens are going to be discontinued, I was obviously upset. However being able to find them for sale here is relieving, and even though the price has gone up by a good amount, I know that this product is worth it.
