Great Concept
1 of 1 found this helpful While this is a very solid built part, it puts a lot of unbalanced weight on the middle section of the WSM. I have not tried to cook with the new hinge yet but it already causes the middle section to slip down inside the lower fire bowl and begin to fall to the rear. If this happens with food on the grates and water in the water pan it could be a disaster. My smoker is less than a year old and everything fits together just fine but with the lid up a slight bump and the middle section slips down into the lower in the direction of the hinge. Not sure what to do about this. I have moved the middle section around in the lower with the same results. Im a bit disappointed.
