Sorrow of a soul torn between cultures
This is a book about being between cultures: your parents' one, a strong, ancient, enigmatic, and a surrounding one, also strong, but young and simple-minded. It's written with pain of realization that what your parents have carried for so long, and tried to pass to you, their knowledge, their wisdom, their love - they ways they love you - is draining through the sand and is not recoverable on the personal level. It is painful to read it. The book is a lament. It offers no solutions, but suggest that having this sorrow inside, bearing it through one's life still makes it richer, deeper, and goves one some anchors others can't imagine.

Boring, not moving, no story development
0 of 3 found this helpful I don't get why I need to follow this poorly developed story. The idea that "mobsters are humans, too" doesn't deserve hundred hours of my time.
