Simple way to extend network at home

I've bought this product to extend home network to the room in the attic where Wifi was slow. It is very easy to setup, just plug into electrical sockets and it works. Their speed does depend on electrical wiring around home and distance. I've measured their bandwidth using Iperf3 tool and was able to get 75-85Mbits in the next room, and 42-50Mbits at rooms further apart. These are average broadband connections speeds, so these devices have enough bandwidth for HD video streaming or video conferencing. There is a utility software available which allows further setup and it reports connection speed. I've found that reported speed is doubled, it seems to be adding transmit and receive rates which is odd. Overall I think think these powerline adapters are a good value, although if you are thinking of adding more than 2 adapters it might be better to look at faster av1000 or av2000 models.

No software included but works well with Linux

First thing to say is that this product doesn't include software, instructions, remote control or an aerial, so you need to have a knowledge how to use it, and an external aerial connection. I've bought it to watch TV on Ubuntu Linux which has software drivers built-in, and I've used VLC player, and it works well for that purpose. I've also tried it with SDR packages (Gqrx and Qt-DAB) and these worked well to receive FM and DAB broadcasts. It will not work on Windows OS without the drivers, so I can only recommend to buy it if you research first how to obtain all the software for it.

Solid replacement PSU and reasonably priced

I bought this PSU for Samsung Series 4 model 400B5C-A01UK laptop. It arrived quickly and it is rated 65W, at 19V 3.16A as required for this laptop. it is well made and compact, its DC 5.5mm jack is making a good connection to the laptops socket. Laptop works well with it, charges battery quickly and PSU doesn't get hot while the laptop is fully used. I have only used it for a week so can't report how reliable it is yet, but overall I think this is a solid replacement PSU unit and reasonably priced.
