Great, traditional story for little girls!
This is a great book for girls--I had it when I was a little girl and bought this copy for my 8-year old girl, since my copy long disappeared. It is a book that any girl could surely relate to, about a little girl who attends a party where every doll receives a ribbon such as "best-dressed doll"-and her ratty doll is continuously passed by as the ribbons are passed out, so she gets really sad. That is, until her doll receives the ribbon for "best loved doll". Very sweet reading that stands the test of time (I think it was published in 1962!)

Great replacement
I bought the DVD/VCR unit that this remote matches at Target about 7-8 years ago. It was a great and affordable unit, and since I have 4 grade-school age children I do NOT want to ditch this unit for newer technology, as we still have many video tapes passed on from family members whose kids have grown, the Disney movies, Thomas the Train, Clifford, etc--all shows my kids love and it would be so expensive to upgrade the volume we have to new technology. So I was pretty sick when the remote started going wonky, the wiring inside went bad and suddenly the remote would change channels by itself randomly and often, or turn the unit off. Most features are on the remote, so it was very frustrating to use! I tried all the universal remotes I could find for sale, but only select features could be used on any of them, so more frustration. Then I stumbled on this seller with a lot of this remote claiming they were all new. It was scary to trust that these would be a good buy, but I reasoned that they are not much more than purchasing a new universal, and the exact match for my broken one was tempting. I am SO grateful a seller like this exists out there for someone just like me, filling such a need. As advertised, the remote IS like new--not some gunked-up gross thing, and I have used all the regular features on it, both for the VCR and DVD and am very happy to report that it works great. If you find yourself in a bind like me, with an unusable remote, forget the headache of the universals that do NOT work, the original is so much better!!

amazingly new
When my mom passed away, I kept her DVD/VCR and several of her kid videos for my small kids to watch. However, I never found her remote control, so it was awkward to use, since most features were obviously on the remote. I tried universal remotes sold at big box stores, and most of the features worked via them, but not all. I still could not do stuff like change VCR tape speed, mark places we wanted to see by time, etc. I was growing frustrated with the whole thing. Then I saw this, and thought it was only a few dollars more than a new universal, so I thought I should try it. I do not know exactly the age of this unit since I inherited it, but am so tickled that I could not only find this replacement that IS the match for this unit, but that the remote was like new and works well. I had been hesitant to but a used one, since they could be broken and grossly dirty. This was offered as like new, and it was thankfully true. Now I can FINALLY change the speed on the tapes my kids are using, etc. Am grateful that someone out there cared to save and offer such items for people like me, when most probably pitch them in favor of new technology. The style itself for this unit is big and more awkward than most, but SO grateful to have this to keep mom's unit going, the kids love having the movies they watched at grandmas. Thank you!
