Beefy blades
Quite a bit thicker than the OEM regular non-mulching blade - that was my main reason for buying these. Should hold up to abuse a bit better. Does a great job cutting too - alot less clippings getting thrown out the chute. Grinds them up pretty good. Stens is good, OEM quality too - can't go wrong.
OBX-R Dual Tip Catback Exhaust For 1984 Thru 1993 Volvo 740 760 940 2.3T (5pcs)

Hope this helps make your decision easier
Yeah, it's stainless steel. Mirror finish. Sure looks purrty. On my '93 Volvo 940, it wasn't a precise fit - the hangers do not line up on the upstream or downstream mufflers, so some tweaking was needed. Was VERY difficult and time consuming to get the dual tips to sit straight and level out the back.
The clamps are steel. They are the band type, but, they will corrode to nothing in no time flat, guaranteed (if you live where they use road salt, or worse - calcium chloride liquid in winter) - I've dealt with enough parts to know how these things go. The clamp hardware looks like it was carved and bent in someone's backyard, and they don't squeeze tight enough for a 100% leak-free fit. It's also tough to keep a socket or wrench on the nut on the clamp nut as it gets tight - you run out of clearance. For the money, I shouldn't have to make ANY tweaks whatsoever - it should bolt right up, and NOT leak, IMO. I painted all of them with high temperature paint, in order to delay the inevitable rusting. Not concerned about looks here - just longevity, and bang-for-buck ratio.
I had to make some modifications to the front section, since I had no flange on my stock header pipe to bolt up to. I had to flatten the flange on the SS pipe with an adjustable wrench, slide off and throw the flange into my pile of extra parts, then, pound on that little included 6" section that doesn't fit anywhere. I pounded it on as straight as I could, and gave it to a neighbor to weld for me, since I'm not set up for SS welding here. It's as if the factory forgot to swage that small section so that it would slip over the 2.5" OD of the SS pipe. It had all 4 relief cuts in it, but it was the same size as the existing pipe on both ends. That won't work ...
To join this to the existing header pipe, I had to grab a 2.5" ID to 2" OD adaptor at the parts store, butt it to the header pipe & weld the 2" OD half of the adaptor to it, and clamp the 2.5" half to the SS pipe with a regular exhaust clamp. I have leaks anywhere there is a clamp, which is 4 for me (3 using the system as supplied). The fitment is certainly not precise.
I wasn't in the market for a "performance" setup - I just wanted a SS system so that it would last longer than 18 months. Exhaust parts are the one poor quality item for this car. This system is definitely many steps above a Starla or Walker setup, but, you're paying for it.
As far as the sound goes, it's not obnoxious, but, it does let the low, bassy tones pass right through. In the city, you won't even notice this. In the country, you will. When inside the house, I can hear the low notes of the exhaust right into the house clearly when the car drives past. That's exactly the sound that annoys everyone up here in the Northeast. It's a tradeoff I had to make - paying $180 every 2 years for a Starla, or paying just shy of $700 with tax and extras needed to make this work, so I can go more than 2 years. I believe that with the converter in place, it will be tolerable. Without it, it's very bassy. Not extremely loud, just bassy. Hard to explain such a subjective thing. I'm an old school, older guy (late 40's) - I prefer to hear my V8 engines, but not 4-cylinders, so I admittedly am biased here.
There was definitely no loss of power. Feels like it pulls a bit better all through the RPM range to me. Wife said the same. Doubtful there will be any negative MPG effects.
Time will tell of its longevity. The first MA winter will be the test! All in all, I would buy again. It's definitely going to last longer than Starla or Walker junk, it looks nice, and it's more quiet than having 4 rusted out sections of a poor quality system. It did fit, and does work, but it took alot of effort to get there. It can be made to work with effort - YMMV here. You'll need to take your time and fuss over things, especially the tailpipe - getting that level can be tough. Good luck!

Good riddance, AA batteries!
Glad to be done with buying CASES of AA batteries to run the original Magic Mouse 1. In over 40 years of using AA batteries, I have NEVER seen a device suck them down as fast as the Magic Mouse 1. Every 4 weeks or less, the 1 would deplete it's AA's! Ridiculous!
This Magic Mouse 2 is identical, except it's rechargeable. Well worth the money - it'll pay for itself in the batteries you save. Buy it used, and you'll save even more.
