This is a fantastic product!
1 of 1 found this helpful It comes with a small tip that I can solder 20 mil center IC's with and actually solder individual pins with. I've done so with bigger tips but never with this degree of precision. It is well made and has a quality feel to it, the looks, switches, temperature controls, and displays are well laid out. The hot air gun is terrific, I have never really used the hot air much before this but with the reducer tips and temperature controls it truly adds a whole new dimension to my rework capability.
This is by far the best soldering station I have ever had and I can't believe the quality for this price! I HIGHLY recommend it, I already had two soldering stations , (Wellers) so I wasn't sure I really needed another but this was a great purchase.
I didn't get this for free, I paid full price and am really, really pleased, I honestly don't know how they do it for the price.

A terrific stereo Zoom
3 of 3 found this helpful This is an incredible value for the money, I have always wanted one since I have used them at work for years but they always were too expensive. This one is affordable and is even better in many ways than the more expensive one at work. The Led lights are terrific and are much cooler than the fluorescent ring light at work, plus they are adjustable in brightness. I got the 8" objective distance scope and it works amazingly well, plenty of room for hands, fingers and parts. I have always worked with 4" or less objective distance and this is so much nicer, plus you sit up straighter which is a plus. The scope mount is amazing as well, all the details have been thought out, the action is perfect, and the base is heavy and well balanced so the scope won't tip over like my one at work, even at the end of the stroke which, by the way, reaches out much further than the work scope.
The optics are sharp and zoom in with little adjustment to the working distance, the scope at work needs far more adjustment when zooming in.
As I assembled this I couldn't believe the quality of the base pieces, and the scope is all I will ever need, I haven't even tried the 2x objective that will take this to 90x magnification, the .5 objective gives me all the zoom (about 45X)
I require for even 0402 parts. This looks awesome sitting on my desk and I am still amazed they can put this high quality package together for such a low price. I wish I had this long ago.
When you really need to see tiny things in sharp detail, there is nothing that can match a stereo zoom scope.
PS - Works great for removing splinters as well
