Discontinued
A pretty good product but has been discontinued by the manufacturer. To register it you must go through their servers and they are often not working. The manufacturer website says they are having problems with servers and that engineers are working on it but info on one of the Forums website says the problem has been around for a couple of months. The manufacturer site also says that they are no longer making hardware and concentrating on software solutions for business. All in all it is likely that all support will be withdrawn at some point and then the box won't work at all. During the initial registration problems, the support people responded within a day, although they didn't know when the server issue would be fixed.
I did manage to get my box registered, after a lot of attempts, and it now performs pretty good. There are no annoying adverts (like SlingBox) and the video quality is good (I'm using SD quality on the composite link). The remote control for the Sky+ box is very slow and can take many attempts to change channel. Would be great if I could just enter a channel number.
