Far from perfect
I bought this vacuum because of the high ratings given to it by Consumer Reports. It works well, with one exception. It is extremely difficult to operate the foot pedal to tilt the top portion back for vacuuming. This seems to be an ongoing problem, with no clues in the user's manual as to how to fix it. I am truly disappointed.

Beautiful and functional lighting
I love this lamp. It was simple to put together. It is very substantial. The packaging was excellent. I have adjusted the lamp so that it is perfect for reading. I couldn't be happier. I wasn't sure about the toe switch, but it works well. I can reach it when seated if need be. The lamp cost more than I wanted to spend, but it's quality makes up for the additional cost.
