NEW MILWAUKEE 2364-20 M12 - 12 VOLT LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS COMPACT FLOOD LIGHT

Needs a re-design
This is not Milwaukee’s best LED light. The spring loaded clamp that pulls out to clamp to any 2x lumber does not extend quite far enough to clamp to 2x material and it is very difficult to pull out. You can use the clamp to clamp to a door, or steel framing, etc., but after that it is too strong to pull out easily.
For steel you can use the strong built-in magnets in the base. The strong magnet in the base also picks up metal fragments if you use it in a metal working environment.
The light would be exceptionally useful if it could be used up-side-down so you could use it to illuminate a flat are to look at plans or a work area on a table or bench. If you use it up-side-down it rolls onto its LED face.
I have several of Milwaukee's LED lights and the 2352-20 is the best and most functional if you can only afford 1 of their LED's. I have 2 and it is the go-to light on my job sites.
Another good choice is the 2360-20, it is great for a wide area lighting and can also run directly on a 120V with any extension cord. It can be aimed down to light a surface.
The 2364 needs a few minor changes to improve its functionally. I don't see a lot of applications with it's present design.
If you want a better quality doorknob/lock than a Kwikset and like the smartkey function this is it. It is not at the level of a commercial product but the price is right.

Good improvement over the original model
As a contractor I have 3 of the original models which had an OK magnet on the end. This model is an improvement over the original model with the addition of a magnet on the side clip. None of the 3 original models have failed including being drop many times from a ladder.
