  All the components were, technically speaking, in place – the watch looked the part. Unfortunately, that’s about where the good news ends. It seems it was assembled more for appearances than for actual longevity. The movement did start ticking, but only just long enough to prove that it could. Some parts loosened after minimal use – one screw in particular had clearly been inserted without rethreading and held in place purely by optimism.
