Perfect for Baking Purposes
Bought this for my baking and it's been great for this purpose. I love that there's three different size options. Not tried it with ice-cream so can't comment on that.

Good, But Could Be Better Quality
It's a good electric blanket, but the quality could definitely be better. I couldn't get one of the elastic ends on the mattress as the elastic wasn't long enough to go all the way around with ease. I was stretching it so much to get it on the mattress that it actually snapped off in the end and I had to make do with just using the elastic over one end of the mattress to put the electric blanket on. Gutted as I had just got the blanket. Luckily it still does the job and keeps the blanket in place. Besides that, I have been enjoying the electric blanket so far. It's been perfect for these winter nights and has been doing exactly what I need it to- warming up my bed just before I settle in for the night.
