Robust - but that's the problem.
1 of 2 found this helpful Normally, it takes two complete 360 degree turns to secure the end cap. The metal used for this item is quite thick. That reduces the number of complete turns to secure the end cap to one. That might be sufficient - but I'm unsure.
On the positive side, it is quite well made. The metal's edges are eased to prevent snagging and the dull, black finish is excellent. Like I said in the title, the metal used is quite robust and I doubt it would bend or snap.

A good fit.
If was a very good fit on my 2002 BMW Z3 3.0i roadster. I would recommend also replacing the little light that illuminates the icon window under the switch at the same time. Save time and trouble.

Too well made.
It is very well made out of thick stock. One thing to be aware of is that if you are using a sling that contains leather end attachpoints, the edges of the sling slot have a sharp edge. I took a dremel and eased the two edges so that the leather strap on the end of my sling will not chafe over time.
