great feel to this driver
1 of 2 found this helpful I am slowly moving up in swing speed, and to a lesser degree tempo, as i progress with my golf game. I decided to try the 9 degree titleist with a stiff steel DG shaft to train more feel into my driver swing. I was surprised to find out that I like this driver better than my Taylormade r7. I hit it just as far and with more control due to the shaft/loft combination and i know without looking up where the ball is most likely heading due to the increased feedback of the steel shaft. If I do pick up the r7, it goes a bit further than before at first until i start to back off because the feedback is numb in comparison. I will stick with this driver until I can work out a more modern alternative. In the meantime, I will enjoy more fairways on my second shot than before. Try one even if just for training purposes. Your swing will thank you for it.

Great adjustability, average distance.
5 of 5 found this helpful The R9 with the stock Motore 65 shaft is a good combo...for me. Looks good and felt good from the first swing. It gives me a mid-high ball flight with decent roll in the neutral clubhead position with the weight positioned in the middle. I happen to hit it very straight at this setting (as you should). However, I do not get any added distance over my current driver. That seems to be the consensus with this driver from the few reviews I have read. If you are looking to take advantage of the adjustability to compensate for slight fade or slight draw tendencies, then this club should help with that. You can get it to give you a higher or lower flight as well, if desired.
Overall: 4 out of 5 stars (5 if I factor in the low price)
