Just enough differences from the book to make each worthwile. A must for classic car buffs. Not really scary in the sense that you often root for the "bad guy". Lead Keith Gordon sells his character, going fron bullied nobody to popular and seemingly adjusted to bitter and dangerous. .Creative visual effects remind one of just how much skill was necessary in movie making preCGI.
