A Perfect Purchase of a Classic Mustang
1 of 1 found this helpful I LOVE this MUSTANG! This was the first time I purchased a vehicle online, anywhere. I've been researching Mustangs for years because I had a '69 California Special with ragtop and perfect paint all throughout high school. My father and brother pulled it out of a hog lot and fixed it for my birthday. I've never forgotten how it felt driving that car and the "bug" took a hold of my heart for Mustangs forever more. The sweetness of my father and brother dragging what looked like a ratty piece of crap and turning it into perfection is a cherished memory.
This 1967 Mustang is a coupe with cherry red paint and PERFECT black leather interior. I picked it up in Wisconsin and drove it all the way back home to central Iowa and every time I stopped people asked questions...Where did you get that? and... Are you married?
The tires are getting replaced today and I'm having the front end aligned this week but other than that when I turned the key and that big blue original V8 started up it was like bells from heaven. The seats are extremely comfortable and even have lap seat belts. Although there is no air conditioning it has the old wing-triangle shaped windows on the front doors that brings in a nice breeze but man, it is still hot on the humid days. Yes, I sweat in this car. Iowa is HOT in the summer. Yes, it makes a bit of a creak over bad streets but come on, it's a 1967 vehicle! The suspension is still holding strong even though it's a bit bouncy. I'm a well built good looking redhead so people just don't seem to mind that the car bounces a bit, haha.
Original everything from the V8 to the tranny to the wheel covers and gas cap. I did a search on the title before I bought it and the title was clean. When you buy a classic car like this you have to expect to pay some big time taxes when you register it. It was $600 for just the taxes! Only $25/year for registration & plates. I considered the taxes a part of my investment into this Mustang.
If you're looking for a classic car on eBay, DO YOUR HOMEWORK and things will be FINE!! The fellow who sold me my '67 was the nicest kind of guy I could ever meet. He was a true collector, too, and he knew what he had. It's good to work with people like that.
I bought an old car with 110,000 miles on it without test driving it first. My family thought I was nuts. Now they ALL want to ride in it. First things first, I gave a set of keys to my Dad and brother to borrow it any time they wish. They earned it.

For a good time call TX!!
I bought Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines after finally seeing T2 all the way through unedited. I fell in love with the idea of a liquid metal, butt kicking machine that could morph into human form and totally destroy anything in its path.
Terminator 3 reaches the same action level as T2 did but this time with a female impersonating liquid metal over steel skelator form. How perfect to have a woman play a killing machine--she can use her mouth not only to seductively comment on how she likes an unfortunate cop's gun but also to dial into a modem to gain computer data. The Crane scene was brilliant as was the FX of a huge magnet capturing and nearly melting the female machine.
The corny one-liners also make a return and are actually welcomed and expected in this action movie series. I absolutely loved the 2-disk set with the extras disc not quite revealing all of their tricks but giving good insight how some of the scenes were captured. Just seeing Arnold hold on to the end of that crane hook got me, well, hooked.
This is a MUST SEE for all action movie/scifi fans.
