ALERT --- you may Not be getting the better quality 3M Scotch RED BOX envelopes
I’ve purchased Scotch envelopes that actually come in the Red Box from Office Max and they are pretty good quality. HOWEVER, when I purchased the Scotch Bubble Mailers advertised in the Red Box on EBay. The mailers I received came in a smaller brown box and are a CHEAPER VERSION. They have the same Cat. Code number 7914, BUT the interior bubble cushion is almost 50% thinner and doesn’t provide near as much protection and may need to tape the bottom for more support. Both the brown box and envelopes have Scotch and 3M printed on them so either 3M/Scotch is making these lesser quality envelopes for third party sellers, for bulk purchase to be “sold as a set” or someone is possibly reproducing cheaper envelopes using the 3M/Scotch envelopes. At any rate, the 3M Scotch bubble mailers received in the brown box are not the same quality as the bubble mailers that come in the red box. Would do just as well to purchase the aftermarket envelopes for lesser $$. Won’t these purchase online again.
