Erroll Garner at his very best
These are from the session Erroll Garner recorded while recovering from an accident that had his left index finger in a splint. One might think that would be a big deficit, yet, perhaps because Mr. Garner hadn't touched a piano in several weeks, there's a freshness and involvement in these unaccompanied performances that set them apart from most of his other work, as fine as it was.
