Refurbished NAD C275BEE Power Amps from Safe and Sound
1 of 2 found this helpful Well. I had already bought one of these amps from these guys, which was good value, delivered in a reasonable time, then performed magnificently (details to follow). So when I needed a second, identical amp, why would I choose to buy it from anyone else.
When I was in high school, in the mid-1970's, Bose 901 speakers were a dream. Now, I'm retired, and assembling the system that I would have had back then, had I not been a kid, and a little more wealthy, I purchased a pair of Bose 901 Series VI, with Series VI EQ. Fronted with a vintage Marantz 3300 PreAmp, I bought one NAD C275BEE, on the recommendation of a well-trusted audiophile friend. Yeah, I know that this choice of power amp isn't in the spirit of my quest for "vintage", but I wanted a newer amp to try to push the sound out of the Bose, which it did, for the one pair, adequately. Then I was given (yes, given) a second pair of identical speakers.
So, I sought out and purchased an identical NAD C275BEE, and bridged both amps, one powering two 901's on the right, and another powering the 901's on the left, each now fire 375W into a pair of identical speakers.
With minimal tweaking of the Series VI EQ, the system now sounds better than I could have ever remembered, or even imagined. Now, I need to find a reasonably priced LP12. (Ha ha!)
