Decent tire, poor studs.

I've ridden these studded tires five or six times on ice and mixed snow/ice/gravel. Each time I think they will work OK but each time I am disappointed. The tire itself is fine but the studs do not extend much past the knobs of the tire. Thus, no grip on ice and I'm slipping and sliding and trying to stay upright. It's too late to send them back or I definitely would. I have a pair of 45North studded tires on another fat bike and I wish I had just spent the extra money because the 45North tires are vastly superior on ice. No comparison. If you want grip on ice, don't buy these.
