Doesn't do it justice - this is a college course and beyond. A classic.
An amazing book that should be a modern classic! I found I could not read it just once - so much to grasp in modern national and global affairs - it is more than current in 2020 and beyond. Insightful, this is a witty book that taps psychology, history, religion, politics, with marketing and social media. I found it was written in a way that even experts will find a frequent ah ha! every few pages when the author connects some unexpected fact with supporting numbers or critical background stories. It reminds me somewhat of Malcolm Gladwell's writing style, but more academic. Highly recommended - I bought another copy for a gift. It's the kind of book you want to give all your friends for Christmas! Or maybe for Covid-at home-quarantine reading. Entertaining and intelligently so.
