Can-Am Racing 1970-1974
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an excellent chronicle of the human side as well as discussion of the mechanical side of one of the greatest yet shortest eras of racing, the essentially unlimited Can-Am series. It is fascinating to read along as the boundaries were pushed higher and higher over the years, back then they really were pioneering and it was far more dangerous than today. If you are a true gearhead like me, you really MUST have the companion book "Can-Am Racing Cars 1966-1974", which goes into great mechanical detail about these brutes, which have never been topped among circuit cars for raw power, even 35+ years later!
I have several other books from the publisher Brooklands Books, they have easily the best catalog of fast car/racing books I have ever seen by far! This is A-level stuff.

Best of the series
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the best of the series (isn't that usually the way it works out?). The sheer number of enemy ninjas/fihgt scenes was less than the other films, but it built up more of a plot and side stories along the way. Everything about this movie screams '80s! A nice trip back in time.....

Dracula 1979
4 of 4 found this helpful I consider this to be THE definitive Dracula movie, bar none. Langella was a striking, smooth, sophisticated vampire, not a cheeseball or a monster. Before computer graphics came along and basically ruined movies, you had to actually be creative and suggest certain things, since you couldn't make literally anything appear on the screen. This made the writers and producers work harder to set the gothic mood and tell the STORY, not rely on cheesy computer graphics for shock value. The mood is absolutely creepy and epic throughout this film, which has a great deal of class, something you normally don't hear about vampire movies. I first saw this as a kid around 1981 or so and have always watched it on rare TV appearances since then. I make it a point to watch all time classic horror movies like this one only at night, and usually only in the fall/winter when the mood is right---This movie and The Shining are two I always watch in the heart of winter!!
The bonus material is like candy for true fans and makes the DVD a must have.
