Good Lens even for for the disabled
1 of 1 found this helpful I just received the product today and took some test shots. The results look good. The item came as advertised - Brand new w/ all the paperwork including warranty.
I bought this product to to complement the normal lens - this addresses the distant subject. This product is compact and light weight, a plus to my disability - shooting with one hand requires having to balance the camera and lens. The Normal lens does a great job for most of needs but sometimes I find the need to bring the subject closer. This lens will do the job for me.

Pentax DA Fisheye Lens
1 of 2 found this helpful This is my first Fisheye or ultra-wide angle lens. This is an excellent lens. Very sharp, good contrast and a fun lens. After getting use to the characteristics of this lens especially the barrel distortion, you will find fun and creative things to use it. Because of the wide field of View, I am able to take a picture with the Sun in front of the photograph without sun flares (or it appears to be.) In actuality the sun is close to 11 o'clock. I was never able to do away with Sun flares with my kit lens.
I originally wanted an ultra-wide angle lens because I find that I tend to use my kit lens at 18mm frequently on trips and wanting more subject in the photograph. This is meant to compliment the kit lenses I already have. Anybody looking for an ultra-wide zoom (10mm-17mm) and having the benefit of a creative fun lens, this is the lens I'd recommend.

Small package with DSLR features
2 of 2 found this helpful I am a V1 owner prior to purchasing the V3. The V3 has a later sensor with higher megapixel resolution and DSLR features. For me the V3 mode dial is in a better location where as I accidentally change the shooting mode on my V1. I bought the body only and used my existing lenses with no issues. My complain about the V3 is the extra grip covers the battery and requires removing to replace the battery. This is a challenge for me being a stroke survivor with one handed operation. The other concern I have is the EVF is an Add-on and makes it taller than the V1, so I need a different camera case that will not press on the EVF. I also have the FT1 mount for use with a Nikon AFS 70-300 VR. It took me some time to research the issues with the Nikon 1 V1 firmware but had no problem with the V3. Before you update to the latest firmware understand the fix and limitations. I chose to deal with the limitations of V1 firmware 1.3 and not go to the latest 1.4 especially if you have the FT1 adapter for F-mount AF lenses.
