Great for Playback

Seems good and rugged and looks like it's got some life left in it. It plays VHS tapes fine. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to set the clock using the menus - I'd like for the front display panel to look normal though that's not essential. I can't set it up to record TV shows because my converter box died on me, but if I can't even set the clock then I guess I'd never be able to set a timer and record broadcast shows using the internal channel tuner. But it does play tapes well and that's the essential thing for me.

For me these are the perfect size for recording phone or conversation notes. Backs are good and sticky. Love the classic canary yellow.

Good Basic Sunlamp with Timer

This is old-school and simple, plug it in and turn on the timer which has to be reset every ten minutes but that's a good safety feature if you fall asleep. You can use a kitchen egg timer to ding at 9 minutes so you can reset its timer and keep it going for more minutes. can adjust the tilt of the bulb with a thumbscrew. Cools down fairly quickly after use.
