Classic Talk Shows from Talk Show Golden Age

"Hollywood Greats", a best of collection from The Dick Cavett Show, is an entertaining and informative set of shows originally broadcast late 1960s/early 1970s. The focus in this set is on Hollywood legends and Cavett's interviews are far more revealing than anything Carson did, but that was the difference in the two shows. Cavett allowed for more conversation, while Carson emphasized more entertainment and skits. Turner Classic Movies will at times use clips from these programs as interstitial material, but by owning this set you will not only not need to depend on if and when TCM will replay clips, you will have the most complete broadcast shows that have been made available to the public. You will have a trip down memory lane, not only for the guests, but for the nostalgia factor of a TV show from the days when most of us only had 3 networks, maybe one PBS station, and of course UHF.
