I thought wrong !!
I thought this was going to be a flimsy Chinese thing, and almost didn't buy at the price - but I've been very pleasantly surprised - it's well made (wherever it's made!), and it is well worth the purchase - It makes the screen image much easier to see in strong sunlight - making it far easier to read. I'd thoroughly recommend it if your sat-nav is difficult to read in such conditions.

Correct to original specification
(Now retired) I've used numerous Blueprint parts during my many years in the trade.
Their range is comprehensive and quality control excellent.
They are reliable, precise replacements for original equipment.
Whilst they're not necessarily as cheap as some offerings by so called "Original specification" suppliers I've rarely known one fail, fit is always first class and they sometimes appear to be the same as found in O/E packages, only lacking the vehicle manufacturer's part number !
In this instance the two 'V' shaped cutouts on the sides are necessary to allow flexibility while fitting, which many alternatives lack, which crumple the element.

Finishing touch
Fors
Being a genuine part the fit is excellent. Fitting is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. It is a good accessory to have.
Againsts
Many people, including myself, have questioned why Toyota skimp on fitting this as standard part (perhaps on all but "base" models?) to provide a little hidey-hole for bits and bobs to be kept away from prying eyes.
Typical of this, and all manufacturer's (genuine) accessories the price is rather high, but it is only fair to remember every time there is a model change the style often changes coupled with the cost of re-tooling the design.
(NO sleight on the supplier of this item is intended ) - this is Toyota's way of distributing genuine parts direct to the public, but apart from free postage and convenience there is little to encourage purchase in this way, as the price is virtually the same as ordering direct from a dealer.
