Lazy AND geeky!
2 of 2 found this helpful Ok, I was skeptical that a Roomba would really get the job done at first. Then I talked to a couple friends that had them (I didn't even know they had them before!) and they convinced me to try it out. Obviously I headed straight to eBay.
I've been using the Roomba for a couple weeks now. Something about the weather this year has our cat shedding like crazy. We like to joke that we don't have dust bunnies, we have kittens. Anyway, the Roomba sucks 'em all up.
It takes a long time to vacuum a room, but I don't really care since I don't have to do it now. I start it during lunch and let it do its thing. It's wonderful on our VCT and hardwood floors. Makes me want to get a Scooba to finish the job...

Turns my Kwikset 909 into a 910 with Z-wave!
1 of 1 found this helpful To get it to pair and work properly in Smartthings, I had to do a couple things first. I had to factory reset the lock by holding down the exterior lock button while inserting the batteries. Let go of the lock button after it does its cycling and beeps the third time. I also had to exclude the device in the Z-wave Utilities in the Smartthings app. After that, it has been perfectly smooth. I am using a custom Device Type Handler and Smart App, but I can assign codes and give them expiration dates or burn after use. Anywho, works great for me!
