Reliable modem unit
Price rise is a bit of a concern but happy with these devices so far. I ordered 20 and the first 3 have gone into operation with no problems.
They look slightly different to the old telstra units but seem to be performing fine.

Cheap and does the job.
It is a medium spec modem. Plugging into computer is easy and seems stable. We use it with a raspberry pi and it has taken some configuration to get it working. But once done, is performing well. Definitely the cheapest way to get 3G connection.
The data sim is also helpful pre-loaded. Great for testing commissioning before we have to pay.

The panel itself is good. Provides good amperage and current. But the connections are hopeless
The panel uses a thermoplastic blob to hold the wire connections on the back of the panel. These soften at about 35C (which is absolutely normal for a panel that is exposed to the sun). They loose their grip and become like jelly. The wire then comes loose and breaks the solder connection the the foil strip on the panels.
I managed to recover the two units I bought by melting a hole in the front of the panel and soldering directly onto the foil strips. The panels now work fine, but this is a couple of hours of fiddly work before the units are useful.
Refund was offered but I had to return the units to China. Postage costs were almost the same as the purchase price so didn't make sense.
