Uniross Smart Battery Charger AA & AAA

Useful in helping sort out the good from the bad NHMI rechargeable batteries. The readout shows how long the batteries have been on charge and how much power has been put into the batteries. It has a drain and recharge function to help recover batteries that have not been used for some time. Charge batteries independently and mix sizes and capacities. You need something like this charger to get value out of your batteries, without wasting time with bad units. Takes the guess work out of using rechargeable batteries.

Hi Tech but limited in size

This is an excellent product from a technical point of view, but it is small and limits the type of fish you can keep. No suitable for Goldfish in my opinion unless you can find a dwarf variety. Lots of high quality extras. So if you are happy with keeping small fish and the price is not a problem this is an excellent choice.

Nitecore i8 8 BAY Intelligent Battery Charger

A versatile battery charger that has a reasonable sensing ability for battery status. Not infallible and can refuse to charge some batteries. This is not uncommon and this model is better than may others I have owned. May be worth keeping a basic dumb charger to start the charging process with any difficult batteries. I suspect many rechargeable batteries are disposed off with plenty of life left because they have been allowed to completely discharge. The base of the unit gets very hot underneath in the recessed section. May be worth taking care of what you place it on when charging. The higher number of batteries being charged at one time the hotter it gets. This device can charge many different battery sizes ypes including Li-ion batteries and has USB power output. Looks to be well made. Because of its versatile charging system and the way it holds the batteries vertically, no one particular battery size fits perfectly. So it can be a bit fiddly to use. Taken as a whole, I am pleased with my purchase even if its not perfect.
