Beautiful Art Book - Japanese text but the art speaks for itself
Although the text is almost completely Japanese, the artwork reproductions are stunning examples of shinhanga prints, with both Japanese, and overseas subjects represented. The first part of the book contains many examples of paintings. The book is worth it simply for the beautiful artworks.

HMS Blackpool 1960s Triang Minic 1/1200 scale die cast ship model
This review is of a used Triang model ship manufactured in the 1960s, the Royal Navy Whitby class frigate, HMS Blackpool. The model is just under 10cm (4 inches) in length and is from the 1st Triang series of warship models painted in gloss light blue with gloss black detailing. It is in excellent undamaged condition with very good condition paintwork with only a couple of tiny chips. Given its age it had a slight patina of grime, easily cleaned with some warm water and detergent using a cotton bud.
Being die cast metal the model is robust, and both gun turrets still rotate freely.
For collectors interested in the Royal Navy the old Triang series provides a relatively economical way of building a collection of various types of Royal Navy ships in service during the 1950s and 1960s as well as stimulating an interest in the history of the ships and the navy.

Excellent well printed replacement decals
The decals were bought as a replacement for those in a kit I recently acquired in which the decals now well over 20 years old had slightly deteriorated. This is an excellent well printed replacement set and will enable me to complete a model of one of my favourite Grand Prix cars from 1976.
