need more intuiteve function for public multi lingual use for a bed and breakfast
The pot works well instructions a bit confusing . I have a b and b and thought this option would be better than our electric pitcher type of hot water heater . you had to pick up the hot water heater and for some ladies and for children I worried that it would be too heavy to pick up and filled with boiling hot water could be dangerous .
The Rosewill solves that problem but its functionality is not as clear as I would like since this is a self-serve situation I have had to explain how it works which is a pain to constantly changing users at a B and B . There is a button that allows you to enable the dispensing action as a lock that you have to push and unlock first and then once a larger actual dispense action button is pushed is hot water dispensed . this double button function to prevent accidents with children just hitting the dispense button and out coming boiling water I think is a great feature but it is not obvious to a first time user how it works . I am going to put small stickers that indicates a number 1 to enable or unlock the dispensing and a sticker 2 to press to actually dispense the hot water . the unlock button you only have to push once and it enables the actual dispense button to pour and this lasts for 10 seconds or so , but I bet know there will be folks that think they have to hold both buttons on at the same time and how do they then fill their cup both hands are full ?
There is a feature also to actually with cup in hand put your cup under spout and with pressure push with your cup up under the spout to dispense hot water . this is a public situation I worry if A. low water in the Roswell the pressure to actually push up under the spigot to dispense the hot water may be enough pressure to tip the thing over if it was not full weighted with water lifting the cup up may lift up the whole dispenser . I also think if you were filling up your cup multiple times with water you may be actually rubbing your germs from the rim of the cup up and around the spigot which is not a good idea . Not a problem I do not believe since this option like the first option to dispense hot water with the two buttons pushed is not intuitive and no one would think of doing this unless they had the product themselves but I will be watching and cleaning the spout now to see if that is an issue . Although the water dispenser shuts off nicely when you lift your finger from the dispense button at times a few drops fell and as the equipment gets older or a person’s finger lingers a bit too long and you pull your cup away it might cause problems . it would have been nice to have a detachable drip tray to avoid hot water drips at least my model did not have one and maybe I over looked another of their models that did have a drip tray .
And finally when you put the dispenser to reboil or it comes to an automatic boil when you fill it up with hot water . It stays at a boil a long time too long and you have to be careful where you put the pot because at the top and back of the model are hot vapor vents to release steam . I had it under a tall shelf on a buffet and on the shelf was filled with local folk art and the long lasting blast of steam was shooting up and potentially damaging the folk-art and the wood shelf . I then put it in another spot and I had framed art behind the pot on the wall and it billowed out minutes long blasts of steam well after the water had boiled too long on the framed art so had to move model again . If you had it under kitchen cabinets of nice wood it might over time be a problem . stan from casa de las flores B and B
