Cheap materials accounts for cheap price. Buyer beware.
I didn't pay much for this, so it's not worth trying to return or make an eBay report over, but I will say that you get what you pay for.
This unit is pretty much a disposable, one to three use item. Luckily, I was smart and installed a tether or I would have lost a $300+ GoPro camera somewhere on a country backroad while filming a ride.
I would not recommend it.

Great Value
I received my Factory Refurbished Hero 3+ today and all I can say is WOW. You cannot tell that it's not brand new other than the fact it's packaged differently. The camera operates perfectly. I am quite impressed, so much so, that I am most likely going to purchase another within the next couple of months.
Great Quality and Great Value. I recommend these units to anyone looking to get a sports camera.

On the expensive side, but does the job well.
I bought this to try to alleviate the buffeting I get when wearing my modular LS2 Strobe helmet while riding my 83 Honda GoldWing. I have a standard height windshield and have tried larger screens, but didn't like the fact that I could not see over the top when dew or rain accumulated. My first long use was a trip to North Carolina from Indiana, which started out wet and continued for some 250 miles. The Puig unit works very well by changing the air flow enough to reduce/remove the buffeting while not obstructing my vision, it also helped keep some of the rain off of my helmet visor.
Over all the quality is good, mounting was simple, and adjustments on the fly were tool-less and easy, however I believe the cost is above what one would expect. I would have been more pleased with the product if it's price point were about half, considering one can purchase an entire windscreen for nearly the cost of one Puig deflector unit.
