What a difference.
1 of 1 found this helpful I started playing golf 3 years ago with a set of clubs I gathered for free from the dump. I play about 95 pretty consistently with those clubs. Then I decided (after 3 broken clubs this season) to buy some new clubs. These were a great idea. Pretty affordable but not the bottom shelf by any means. First time I took them to the range I felt such a big difference in the hit and the distance. I'm hitting about 300yd drives now,(im a heavy hitter so dont think these will automatically make you hit 300yd) and they actually go straight haha. Beautiful clubs, great sounds, and straight long shots. When you see them in person you'd think you just stole a 2500$ set of clubs. I may have to update this review in the future to let you know how they hold up after 20 or 30 games, but so far I'm convinced I made a great purchase. If you want to get started golfing, or want a fresh set with new tech, and you have about a 350 or 400$ budget, this is your box set. I was a little off put with the 12° driver as I used to use a 9.5, but did not even notice when teeing off except that the ball was a little higher than normal. Definitely didn't make my drives shorter. The grips on these clubs are the same for every club except the putter, so transition from club to club is easy. The grips are also set so you will hold the club the same way every time so you'll have more consistent shots. Just put your thumb on the outline and bam, perfect club face placement. 3 wood and 5 wood are my absolute favorites. Great height, super sleek for fairway hits, and just the right amount of umph. Hybrids took me a while to figure out because I was used to those long 3, 4, and 5 irons, but once I figured them out they too have a soft spot in my heart. The irons and wedges in this set are full proof. Steel shafts and knotch back heads with a very forgiving face make straight shots and great height. No real worries about slicing everything haha. Putter I received was a little damaged but it doesn't change performance so no biggie to me. I'm not a good putter so I can't say for a fact, but to me it seems hard to make those long puts. May be using my old putter, but most people usually get their own putter or have an "ol glory". All in all, you can't really go wrong with this set of clubs. I hope to keep these for at least 4 or 5 years but we shall see.
