This light fit where my old drain plug was. The cord for the light goes through the drain hole and to the battery. Works good and does not restrict water from flowing out the drain hole when the plug is removed. I wired the light to my running lights so it comes on when my running lights are turned on. The cord for the light goes behind the plug so there is no impact when installing or removing the plug. It is recommended not to run this light out of water because it might overheat.
