Pentax K-x - Outstanding Digital SLR Camera
6 of 6 found this helpful Fantastic, superb, quality DSLR for beginners, intermediate or experienced users. It is unbelievable the features and quality on offer for such a reasonable price. The K-x takes stunning pictures and has amazing low light capabilities. It is compact, light and very well built. Also, the kit lens is superb and is good enough not to require an upgrade. This DSLR cannot be beaten for Value for Money and anyone considering it should not hesitate. There is also a vibrant Pentax user community with members always willing to offer help and advice. This camera is OUTSTANDING.

Great mid-price guitar
Superb guitar for the money and easily upgradeable. New pots and a push-pull for coil splitting are easy to install and make a big tonal difference as well as adding flexibility.

Vintage V62 - Great for the price
OK, I wanted a USA Telecaster, but couldn't justify the price. So I went for the Vintage V62 in Ash Blonde, a great colour, especially in combination with a Rosewood neck. It looks gorgeous, very vintage. It also sounds great, particularly now I have upgraded the pots with genuine CTS 250k ones and the switch with a USA Oak Griggs version. This guitar is a tone monster, but I would recommend the mods, I went with a 4 way wiring loom that adds a selection for both pickups in series, which gives a warm, fat tone, much like a Humbucker. The stock pickups are great, very defined, good clarity, no muddiness. The stock pots and switch are not so good, but it costs not very much to replace them and it is worth the extra expenditure and a bit of time to solder the new parts correctly. I wold highly recommend this guitar and would buy in preference to a Mexican Tele, although not in preference to the USA version. Having said that, a USA Tele costs about 5 times as much!
