Simple, easy, lives up to its hype
I saved for a long time to buy this -- I read every review, I checked out the Breville Smart Scoop, the various Cuisinarts, read Wire Cutter's best review, they chose the Wynter ice cream machine but picked the Lello as the luxury upgrade. I'm a decent baker and was spending so much on different frozen desserts -- ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt, that I figured this would end of paying for itself and I could leave out a lot of the extraneous ingredients that commercial desserts are riddled with. I've only done four or five batches but there's the churn button, (left) the chill button (right) and the timer. That's it. I've heard people complain about the unremovable bowl. Actually, I like it, it takes about 4 minutes to clean up, I remove the churning blade and the nut that hold it in place, wash it and return it -- I took out the 3 year extended warranty but I'm hoping I'll never have to use it. Definitely it's sturdy/stable, it doesn't wobble, and it's kinda big, but for me, it's a like owning a statement, every time I look at its shiny stainless, I start coming up with recipes. It's an easy appliance to start a love affair with. Love it!
