Outstanding summary of recipes for great meals
This book covers an outstanding range of recipes for soups, stews, and classic slow cooked meals. The photographs are brilliant and the recipes and procedures extremely simple to follow. All of the meals are classic, hardy, dinners meant for family dining or for foodies with appetites. It is a classic cookbook to be guarded for a lifetime.

A Bittersweet Story
This is a bittersweet story of family loss and re-bonding, covering a grandmother-mother-daughter triangle of strain and renewal. The tension is light and not demanding but the reader remains curious of where the Grandmother's secrets are taking both the mother and daughter. Lisa Schroder obviously knows Paris well and guides the reader through the city as the heroine, 12 year old Nora, explores the City of Lights and her mother and Grandmother's pasts. A good read for all ages.
