still fun to watch

The special effects are crude by current standards but the movies are still enjoyable to watch. The quality of the production of the dvds is high. Well worth the money

rather disappointing

Spends almost as much time on the personal history of LeMat as on the pistols Author seems to over identify with LeMat by taking his side in dispute with Caleb Huse. At one point author says Huse went to Vienna for some reason to avoid dealing with LeMat. Even superficial research would have shown that Huse went to Vienna because of the opportunity to purchase large quantity of Austrian small arms and field artillery which he did in fact get for the Confederacy. The photographs in book are excellent.

A golden oldie of Scii-Fi

Very enjoyable to watch again after almost 50 years. The special effects are still generally good although they do not compare to those of today. Very good cast of regulars and guest stars, It is far superior to the remake that aired a few years ago.
