The ads should be more specific on what these connectors will fit
It didn't fit the 2-1/2" hose I thought I was ordering it for. This is a replacement hose end connector for the original DeWalt 1-3/4" OD vacuum hose, to quick connect to the Dewalt shop vac, and that's the only thing it will fit. For some reason none of the websites or ads for vacuum hose connectors ever bother to put actual ID and OD connector dimensions or specifics on what they are intended to connect to on their ads, but instead just some generic blah about being "universal" connectors, or something similar, which they are not. I'm trying to do dust collection with 7 or 8 separate tools, and never yet found the right fittings for several of them, other than duct tape. At least now I have a spare connector between the hose and vacuum, in case the one I've had for the past 10 years ever breaks. Be sure what you are ordering it for.
