Basic Coffeemaker
This Venus model is a pretty basic coffeemaker. I previously had an Aroma (Saeco) model I loved, and thought that this model would be very similar.
The BAD: I was disappointed that this Venus model does not have a removeable tank, not bad in itself, but there is not a window for the water tank to see levels, nor a clear carafe (it has a thermal carafe)to compensate to use as a level of water used. This results in having to actually look down into the tank at each fillup. And where are the markings? On the hose that pulls the water up to the filter! So you have to use a measuring cup of sorts to fill the tank each time unless you want to pull the coffeemaker out each time to see in the tank. I also am concerned that the print of the numbers will wear off the hose with time. This is mainly why I gave it average rating, otherwise it would have rated higher.
It does have a flat bottom filter, not a cone style like the Aroma, so you will use more coffee for the same strength in the flat bottom filter.
The GOOD: A nice permanent filter is included, the carafe is large and pours nicely. It makes very hot coffee. It is attractive, and it does make good coffee.
