Exceeded my expectations
Not only came with batteries installed, it came with a second set in the box. Laser is plenty bright. Minor issue - The red dot has a small dim "tail," it looks just like a comet. But it's not especially noticeable, I don't mind it.

Does its job
It's mostly plastic but the leggie clamps and the adjustments all hold firmly. I was hoping that the speed clamp would match my Cullmann CX system, but nope, it just misses.
