Smooth and colorful
1 of 1 found this helpful I looked at several brands of colored pencils before choosing these. I was interested in color saturation as well as smooth application. I was pleased on both counts. I know the Faber art supply company has been in business for at least two centuries, so that definitely spoke to me. Companies don't stay around if their products aren't trustworthy. I've just recently gotten interested in adult coloring books, and these pencils, along with good gel pens, are making me a happy "artist"!! They're expensive in comparison to others, but I do believe they're worth the price. Oh, and they come in a wonderful storage tin that protects them, but still makes them accessible.
