Canon Digital SLR Photography starter outfit.

The Canon Digital Rebel XT is an all time classic in the digital photography field. With it's 8 megapixel images and affordable accessories this camera has opened the door into the amzing capabilties of digital SLRs. It's very user friendly and renowned for it's ruggedness and reliability. For such an amazing camera it's very compact and lightweight. It appeals especially to lady photographers! The 18-55 kit lens may not be the best thing Canon have ever made but it's optics are adequate and once again it's features are great and it is also very lightweight. For most people this lens will do almost everything they are going to need and matched with this body make the perfect digital SLR starter camera!

Cheap but useful....

I had this lens some time ago on a Rebel XTi. Although I wouldn't (and don't) rave about it's optical and build quality I have to admit it's a very useful 'standard zoom' to have with you - particularly when travelling. It's light and has a very useful zoom range and the optical quality is 'adequate'. To get significantly better results you are going to have to spend $4-500 and this lens has the added bonus of accepting 58mm filters, it's lightweight and cheap too! You should have one in your bag......

Rebel XTI- The standard by which most DSLRs are judged.

This is the third generation of this ever popular 'Digital Rebel' series and it has introduced many people to the joys of digital SLR photography. Like most Canon DSLRs is easy to learn and can be a simple or as complex as the user requires. I teach photography and never hesitate in recommending this camera to my students. When you match it with the excellent range of Canon lenses, add the build quality factor and factor in Canon reliabilty ..... you can fully appreciate the value for money this 10.1 Megapixel beauty is. Enlargements up to 16x24 are possible with this camera and 8x10's are a breeze. Get one if you want to discover the benefits of SLR photography! Be careful who you buy from though (my seller was unreliable/flakey) and try to avoid well used examples - these cameras have been around for nearly 4 years now!
