Excellent in every way; met every expectation...
Never having used a graphing calculator before, having liked the price, and having taken Algebra I, and anticipating more advanced math courses, I thought it was time to buy one and learn how to use a graphing calculator. The learning curve was not as steep as I thought it would be. It was fairly easy to learn; the written instructions were not as clear or as thorough as they could be. But from reading other books, and watching Tou Tube videos, I managed to learn the basics. One thing that would be nice, and I'm not sure if this is available on the fx-9750GPLUS product, is the ability to hook it up to the computer to save the graph to the computer, or even work the calculator from the computer. The extension cord (FA 124 USB) used with the product costs almost $30, but I'm not sure what it does, or what it connects to. (New models seem to have capacity to be hooked up to the computer.) New from the store, Casio is not terribly expensive, compared to Texas Instruments. It works fine. Course, learning to use the calculator means the student has minimal understanding of algebraic processes, but use of the calculator helps to improve comprehension of those concepts and most importantly grasping the realization that numbers are connected to reality and not just something to annoy people. All in all, the calculator was worth the expense, was worth the time spent in learning how to use it.

Barney Miller: The perfect antidote to Covid-19 Pandemic
When it came out in 1974, the program had trouble finding its base, but soon its base found Barney Miller. Barney Miller was the start of really great television that would be followed with Taxi, Cheers, Fraser, and so on. The viewer cared about the TV characters as they unfolded on the TV screen over the weeks. Too often the TV sitcom is dismissed as Pablum, when reality is that every week a 22 minute production to match Shakespeare is produced. As the program progressed, the weight shifted to Arthur Dietrich (played by Steven Landsburg) and his dry wit and his inner drama of being "morally right". Inspector Lugar (played by James Gregory) with his 1950's mentality was the counter balance to Barney (Hal Linden) modern policing methods. It was always marvelous to watch the character actors (like Kay Medford--to cite just one) show up to perform. Truth to tell, as the program matured, it got better. Watching Barney Miller during the time of Covid-19 Pandemic is a perfect antidote for social isolation and persistent bad news.

    Great computer....
I wanted something compact for when I visit my daughter and keep in touch with email, watching YouTube, reading news. Compact, inexpensive. I especially like the Chrome concept where updates are seamless, unlike the Windows Update which quickly makes this size computer with it limited memory useless.
