Bread maker pan seal
1 of 1 found this helpful I ordered just the seal but received a complete set with clips and washers - nice surprise. The seal works very well. The install is a bit tricky : be patient and careful, follow seller's instructions precisely - he obviously knows what he is doing. Make sure to clean all surfaces thoroughly with non metallic tool - I used a bamboo skewer. The most difficult part is to remove the old seal, but when you have the right tool, it's not so bad. I used a paint can opener that is available at home center for a dollar or even for free. That opener has a hook which you can pry the old seal out with. The first loaf I baked after repair came out with black stain around the shaft - I guess it was the last of rust and grime from the old seal, but all subsequent loafs were nice and clean. Overall, I am very happy and glad I could prolong the life of my breadmaker for another year (I hope). We use the machine 4-5 times a week and original seal berelly lasted a year.
