Definitely the best charger for an Acer 7750G
Over a period of 10 years I purchased 2 new batteries and 3 chargers, including this one, for my Acer 7750G. The original charger and battery lasted about 5 years. Afterward the charge indicator light on the laptop started blinking on and off. I purchased a new battery and charger on Ebay and went with the cheaper ones. The blinking problem remained so I attempted the technique of draining the power from the laptop and battery that was recommended on many forums without any success. Eventually I purchased a more expensive battery. The blinking charge indicator light problem remained, so I bought yet another charger choosing a more expensive one than the first. Still no luck with the blinking problem. Finally I opted for the OEM charger listed here. It took nearly 2 weeks to arrive from China, but the wait was well worth it. Since it arrived 3 weeks ago I have not had any problems with the charging indicator flashing on and off and the battery seems to last much longer when using the laptop without the charger. I highly recommend this charger. It is worth every penny.

Backing Plate Installation Summary
If you buy this, make sure you buy the shoes and spring kit as well. And don't forget some PB Blaster. Including the time it took to drive to the parts store (twice,) it took nearly 7 hours to put them in. The old backing plates were removed by supporting the cast iron portion with several 2 x 4's, putting the bolts part way into the bearing hub and pounding on their heads with a 2 lb sledge. The hub itself was removed by putting the rotor on backwards, using the lug nuts to hold it tight to the hub, and pounding on its top and bottom with the sledge The actuators were seized and had to be coaxed back into working condition with a hammer and vise grips. One of them got bent, causing the shoes not to fully contract, so the the rotor wouldn't go back on after everything else had been assembled. Had to completely remove the new backing plate and reinstall it a 2nd time after fixing the actuator. We also had to make a 2nd trip to the parts store to buy a 3/8 drive breaker bar. There's just not enough clearance to use a 1/2 drive and socket. All in all, it's not a difficult job, but it took a lot of muscle to get things apart and a lot of cleaning and de-rusting to get it all back together..

Works great.
At first I couldn't get it to work on the 5GHz band. No error message to tell me what was wrong other than "Cannot connect." After messing with it for 2 days I took it into work. My laptop at work connected easily to the 5GHz band. I compared the network adapters in the device manager at work with those at home. Turns out there was a "virtual" network adapter left over from an older VPN on the home machine. I disabled it and the 5GHz started working. It's been working excellent ever since. My 2010 Acer with an Intel AC wifi card connects at 867Mbps. Phones, TVs and settop boxes connect on the 2.4GHz band easily. For the price I paid I'm extremely satisfied with this router. I'm sure routers that cost more would be better, but for the budget minded this is an excellent choice.
